– Wizkid has been nominated for the prestigious MOBO Awards – He was nominated in the Best International Act and Best African Act category – Other Nigerian musicians including Maleek Berry were nominated also These are the best of times for popular Nigerian musician Wizkid as it was recently announced that he is among the nominees for Best International Act award at MOBO Awards. This is coming after he was also nominated in the best African act category at the MTV European Music Awards (EMA). Wizkid was nominated alongside Cardi B, DJ Khaled, Drake, Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar, Migos, Solange Knowles, SZA, Travis Scott in the Best International Act category. However, that is not the only category he was nominated in. He would also be vying for the Best African Act award alongside Davido, Tekno, Tiwa Savage, Maleek Berry, Wande Coal, Mr Eazi and others.
Maleek Berry was also nominated in the Best Male Act category. The MOBO Awards stands for Music of Black Origin and was established in 1996 by Kanya King and Andy Ruffell. It is held annually to recognize and celebrate artists who create Black or urban music.
The 2017 MOBOs is set to take place on November 29 at Leeds First Direct Arena. Congrats to Wizkid.
