Will He A-Plus Given 7 Days To Apologise To The Deputy Chief Of Staff

Solicitors of a Deputy Chief of Staff, Francis Asenso-Boakye, have written to musician Kwame Asare Obeng to apologize and retract “defamatory” claims or else they file a suit on behalf of their client against him. www.3news.compublished!

The claims were said to have been published on social media by the musician, popularly known as A-Plus.

According to the letter signed by Samson Lardy Anyenini of A-Partners @Law, A-Plus seemed to have gone on a “sustained crusade” to damage the reputation of Mr. Asenso-Boakye.

It noted that A-Plus resumed his action after the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) of the Ghana Police Service began investigations into the case involving the President of the Ghana Football Associaton (GFA).

“That you have since authored and circulated a series of statements and referred to our client as being ‘corrupt’ among other defamatory claims directly and by innuendo obvious to your audience.”

A-Plus has been asked to apologize and retract the “falsehood” within seven days in the “the same publicity and prominence as the defamatory claims and must be unequivocal, unconditional and subject to the prior approval of our client and his Solicitors.”

This comes after Minister of Communications Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, through her solicitors Mafo & Sarfo @ Law, also wrote to the musician to apologize and retract the same post on Facebook on or before Friday.

But A-Plus came out strongly to call the bluff off the Minister.
