Was Sarkodie Right to Make Reference To Bisa K’dei’s Brother Brother
In one of his songs on the ‘highest’ album titled ‘Overdose’ featuring Nigeria’s Jesse Jags, Sarkodie made a reference comparing Bisa K’dei’s Brother Brother which was released in 2015 to Daddy Lumba’s ‘Aben W’aha’ which was released in 1999.He did that to tell how people compare lightweight rappers to him.
In the song he stated; comparing these lightweight rappers to Sarkodie is like comparing Daddy Lumba’s ‘Aben W’aha’ to Bisa KDei’s ‘Brother Brother’ (Translated).
To some, Sarkodie made an unfair critic about the “Mansa” hit maker comparing an eighteen year old track to a two years old track saying he has tarnished the effort of the highlife artiste and his 2015 hit track which won him a lot of admiration’s, but to some it was just a reference and was not his intention to tarnish Bisa’s image or effort.
But the question is, upon all the Highlife songs in the system, why did he choose to use Brother Brother in comparison to the Ghanaian highlife legend Daddy Lumba’s Aben w’aha.
