He ascended the throne of the highly coveted Ooni of Ile-Ife on December 6, 1980. He reigned for a period of 35 years until his passing on to glory on July 28, 2015.
Oba Okunade Sijuwade oozed class and wealth in his lifetime. He was a successful businessman even before his ascension to the throne. He owned and rode in a 1968 DS420 Daimler limousine.
Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi
He attained the throne in 2015 after the demise of Oba Sijuwade. Like his predecessor, Oba Ogunwusi is a businessman before attaining the throne. He has investments in the hospitality business aside others.
