Behind every love relationship, there is either a beautiful or sad story, and meeting one’s life partner depends mostly on the places the individual frequently visits.
While some meet their lovers at the church, others find theirs at the club, school, weddings and other ceremonies, workplaces and in several mysterious ways.
Private legal practitioner, Maurice Ampaw also has an interesting story to tell about how and when he fell in love with his companion and the mother of his children.
He is one of those men who fell in love at first sight and was slept off his feet by the magic and beauty of the lady.
In an interview with Kwaku Sintim-Misa popularly known as KSM on the “BO ME NKOMO” show, Maurice Ampaw said he met his wife while on his way to school.
He said the then 16-year-old girl was on her way to purchase local red oil popularly known as Zomi for her mother.
“I identified her when she was 16 and I was 21. I was passing by to Aburi Secondary School when her mother sent her to buy ‘Zomi’. The moment I saw her I was enthralled by her personality such that I couldn’t go to school because I was confused,” he disclosed.
He explained that because he was caught in the web of love, he had to wait until the girl return from her errand and later went home with her to meet her mother who fortunately for him knows his mother.
“I waited for her at Dansoman Junction and when she returned I followed her to meet her mother who luckily happened to be my mother’s friend. Can you imagine, because of love I had to fan the fire. I was so excited the mother accepted me. That day I didn’t go home. I slept over,” he revealed.
Lawyer Ampaw said, he was jealous anytime he sees guys talking with his girlfriend but because she was faithful, she reported everyone who wanted to date her to him.
He said, “I was very jealous about her and didn’t want any guy to touch her… so I was the one who broke her virginity at age 22. Up till now, no other man has seen her nakedness apart from me. I’m so proud of her. Even pastors proposed to her but she rejected them because of me.”
