Nigerian music is still getting recognised in the international scene. This is evident in the exploits of our musicians like Mr Eazi, Wizkid, Davido, Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage. As a result of their works, international organizations have started taking notice and are beginning to rate us alongside other world acts. Davido and Tiwa Savage were recently nominated alongside other African artists in the Best International Act category at the BET awards that will take place on Sunday, June 25, 2018, at the Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles, California, United States.
However, this is not the first time OBO has been nominated for this award. In fact, he won the award in 2014. Tiwa was also nominated in the same category that year. Wizkid went home with the award in 2017. See the full list of nominees below:
