Sarpong K. Collins popularly known by fans as K.C in an interview with Awin-Tee Okatakyie on Www.Showbiz.com.gh Celebrity talk show gabbed about how beat makers in Ashanti region are doing everything manly possible to bring back the musical strength of Ashanti.
He said “I can proudly say that, best music in Ghana started from Ashanti region, stretching from the likes of Nana Ampadu, amakye Dede, Dr. Paa Bobo, Akwasi Ampofo adjei, K.K kabobo, kojo Antwi,Awura Ama, daddy Lumba and the rests are all legends from Ashanti region who helped in bringing music to the hearts of Ghanaians”.
According to him since Hip life took over from Hi life, the likes of Okyeame Kwame, Okomfour Kwadee and the rest was doing massively well till the turn of Bradez, Asem, O.J Blakk and a lot who also made an impact on Ashanti region music. But he doesn’t understand why of late the music has falling from the collection.
“I blame all to lack of sponsorship because that’s the only way an artiste can make it to the limelight. Without Sponsorship an artiste can’t come out from the slum”. He said.
“We will do our best to bring back Ashanti Region music to the top. He concluded.
