koye was born in London on November 16, 1980, and later moved to live in Lagos with her family. She graduated from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka with a degree in Theatre Arts.
She joined the Nigeria movie industry (Nollywood) in 2001 and in 2002 she rose to fame after starring in the blockbuster movie “Spanner” alongside with Chinedu Ikedieze.
Okoye has acted in more than 150 Nollywood movies which include Spanner, Black Bra, War Game, The Snake Girl, Beyond Passion, Blood Sister, Blackberry Babes, Crazy Passion, Desperate Love, Eagle’s Bride, Emotional Battle, etc.
