On Wednesday, May 16, the death of veteran movie star Aisha Abimbola popularly known as Omoge Campus hit the internet. Her fans and colleagues are still shocked by her sudden death.

1. FAMILY LIFE: Late Abimbola was once married to a colleague, Victor Ibrahim. The deceased was a proud mother of two adorable children. 2. RELIGION: Going by her name, Aisha, the late movie thespian was born into a Muslim family before she converted due to certain reason is best known to her. However, she practised Islam for a while before her sudden conversion. In an old interview with New Telegraph, late Abimbola revealed that if she had not become an actress she would have ended up as a pastor. 3. BACKGROUND: Late Aisha Abimbola was born on December 19, in Epe, Lagos lsland, Lagos state. She studied Hotel Management from Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH).

4. ACTING CAREER: Last Abimbola was reportedly rounding off her HND programme at LASPOTECH when Wale Adenuga Productions came to shoot in her school. She was shot into limelight by the movie, Omoge Campus which was produced in 2001. The deceased featured in indigenous and non-indigenous productions such as “No Pain, No Gain, Awerijaye, So Wrong So Right, Kamson and Neighbour to mention a few. She made her debut as a producer with movie T’omi T’eje, which she premiered in Atlanta in 2016. 5. AWARDS: Omoge Campus beat some of her colleagues such as Faithia Balogun, Dayo Amusa, Mercy Aigbe and Iyabo Ojo to win the City People Entertainment Award for Yoruba Movie Personality of the Year in 2016.
