– Top musician 2baba has taken his support of IDPs to another level – He recently told a story of their plight with his latest music video – The touching video is titled Hold My Hand There are very few musicians in Nigeria who are more respected than Innocent Idibia aka 2baba. The work he has done with internally displaced persons in 2017 keeps earning him plaudits. In February 2017, he donated N3.5 million to United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Lagos. He and his wife Annie also donated several relief materials to Benue flood victims. This time, he has released a video titled Hold My Hand showing the plight of internally displaced persons driven out of their homes by violence from Boko Haram attacks.
Asked why he decided to help IDPs, he said: “The gesture is aimed at giving hope to the displaced persons and to ameliorate their hardship. But I will wait to see how far our efforts and intervention of government go for some time. These are my people and I am deeply concerned by what is going on.” Well said 2baba.
